This isn't a major thing but I'm looking if anyone has any more ideas on this topic.

I currently have the Alphacool CPU Block (Link) and as you can see the OCOOL logo is copper. I'm rebuilding my PC to have a black/blue/nickle(silver/chrome) (Black case/mobo, blue fluid/ram/fans/gpu, nickle fixings) theme and this block kind of ruins it.

Anyone have any ideas how to replace the copper with a silver shiny finish? I was thinking the stuff you use on nails but I'm not sure how heat-resistant that stuff is.

Would love any ideas.

Vinyl to cover the whole top?

Or use some UNIball metallic silver pens, those have really nice finishes.

I wouldn't go for anything obviously flammable, but in the same breath I wouldn't worry too much about heat resistance (without sounding too ignorant).

A fiddly vinyl application would do it, or a bit of paint? Pens are an option if you have a steady hand

Cheers guys. I intend to just cover the copper. To attempt to keep the OCOOL Logo and the rest black. I'll look into both of these.

Loving the quick replies. Can't thank enough!

Use a hair dryer on the logo until the adhesive is soft then slide a scalpel to lift it off from underneath. Clean the sticky residue off the block with isopropanol. Spray paint the logo with a chrome plastikote then stick it back down. I remember seeing you can buy those golden logo badges separately. If you damage it trying to lift it off you should be able to find a replacement. I took the one off the the side of my rad because I didn't like it lol.

Apparently Hammerite is ridiculously heat resistant. People have been using it for brake calipers with no issues.

Cheers guys. I think I'm going to go with a silver marker as that seems the least hassle one. I paint miniatures so I have decent steady hand.
