Slight Graphical Error on new build

Just finished new build earlier today, installed win7 and drivers, no problems.
However, after coming out of a fullscreen YouTube video sections of the close/max/min buttons from the top left of every window are missing. It's exactly the same section in every window in any program that uses Aero.
Similarly the Windows transparency effect (when floating over show desktop in bottom right) appears 'damaged' rectangular chunks are missing.

Would provide image, but don't know where to upload one (look a noob) and google isn't returning enything reliable either.

Looks like a memory error maybe? Sure hope not...

upload the pictures to somewhere like photobucket or imgur, then you can post them here

only thought that comes to mind is a fauty driver install or faulty VRAM

Try updating the GPU drivers? It does look like a GPU problem.

will i need to clean out old driver before installing new? or will Catalyst Control Centre do that itself?

You can just install over the old ones, most people do that and have had no problems with it.

Appears to have fixed the problem. If this does occur again, i'll set up a new thread and link this one.

I suspect the windows install or driver and maybe a repair install will solve it. What hardware are you using? What hard disk?

edit solved
