I have Windows Xp 32-bit and Windows Vista 32 and 64-bit.

Ive currently got Vista x64 installed, but this driver signing nonsense is ****ing me off.

I have 4GB of RAM so need x64, that rules out XP32 and vista32 (Is it possible to run, and use, 4GB of ram in XP32 or Vista32?)

Anyway to disable driver signing for Vista 64(That works, not the bcdedit or pressing F8)?

Thanks, Ben

You can run with 4GB of RAM in a 32-bit OS it's just that the OS won't be able to use much more than 3GB of it, there is nothing stopping you running it because you have too much RAM.

Sorry, thats what i meant, is there anyway to get Xp32/Vista32 to be able to USE the full 4GB? or am I asking the impossible, ive heard of something called PAE, tho i have no idea what it does?

I'm pretty sure PAE (Physical Address Extension) is only availiable on the server version of windows, that's not to say someone hasn't made some sort of hack for Windows XP 32-bit but I can't see it being useful. Windows can't actually address more than 3GB of RAM, PAE is a workaround for this on servers. It's understandable in a server environment but not on a desktop, I think you'd find it hard to actually use 4GB of RAM.

which piece of hardware do you need the driver for?

Its ATi Tray tools, and im trying to patch the usbport.sys to enable 1000MHz polling rate on my diamondback 3g, dosent work tho :(

Also Trackmnania nations doesnt work in x64, think its to do with a starforce driver or something, was also gunna say Coretemp but i have found the x64 hacked version ;)
