OK, this could take a bit of explaining so pay attention.

Current EOC predictions suggest I will overtake Babyface_UK in 7 days and that Snapshot will overtake me in 2 days.

However .....

I have been fiddling with my main rig for several days now and it's output has been erratic to say the least. I have finally finished fiddling and should have a steady output of 5 P2653 WUs per day for the foreseeable future (disasters aside). This means a steady output of 8800 PPD - this is from 2 Q6600s and 1 E6600. This gives me approximately 3800 more than Babyface_UK's current output with 7600 to catch him = 2 days. It also gives me 3500 less than Snapshot's current output with him having 9300 to catch me = 2.65 days.

This means that, in theory, although current stats suggest otherwise, I should catch Babyface_UK before Snapshot catches me - by about half a day :p

Phew!

The Snapshot stomp should be shortlived though. As soon as my new Maestro card arrives, I will be using some of my recent windfall (NI contributions rebate) to bolster the farm. Instead of running 2 quads and a duo, I should be running 5 quads. Hopefully the 3 new quads will OC better than the current two and I should more than double my current output - I'm hoping for close to 20k PPD.

EDIT: So is it a case of "stomp that slacker, you slacker"? :P
 
cob's Q6600 is on MM at the minute - less money and we all know it clocks well :D

Been spending about a tenth of that my self - for my long awaited Uber passive wall-mounted project :D (codename - little finger proof)

If I get things built quickly enough I might just about manage to thwart Snapshot before the stomp :cool:

You probably will as my output slumps badly at weekends if most of my borgs get turned off. I keep saying I'm going to cut back at home but a new challenge or threat keeps coming up. At the moment the challenge is two million points and as high as I can get in that time. I will cut back then, honest..... ;)

I'm about to go and pick up a shiney new Celeron 420 for a laugh. It'll tide me over til I can get my hands on a very good clocking G0 Q6600. I'm waiting for someone to get back to me about a very special one, but it may have already gone.

So it does. That should give me a bit of breathing space. Hopefully the bits will arrive in the morning and I can start building - with a bit of luck have one Folding by lunchtime, first new points returned lunchtime on Saturday (or earlier depending on OC).

Keep up the good work, plenty more slackers on the horizon :D

what sort of price do they go for on MM (another 2 days before I can see that darn forum!!) was thinking of selling mine at some point

B3's go for ~£120 and G0's can still get £130-140 depending on how good they are.

Actually I'd be very interested in yours if my current offer falls through. It's been offered to someone else first, but the seller doesn't yet know if he wants it.

I'm hoping it's just the case that the status hasn't been updated. I would have thought the order would have been shipped by now since I ordered the goods at 11:37 AM. I'm assuming no-one will be there now and if it hasn't left the warehouse I won't be getting it tomorrow. If the status hasn't changed by tomorrow morning, I'll have to send a webnote to find out what's happening.

I was looking forward to getting stuck in tomorrow :(

well I have a number of G0 all that will do 3.6+ and I do need one more for the G/F's new rig (she is wondering why I am so interested in upgrading it... told her it was old and slow and she deserved better :) plus it folds like a snail :) ) but I will also be looking to get an E8500 to see if I can get it to 5ghz so at that point will sell a G0 :) probably not till end of the month earliest when I am paid
