At some point in the nearish future, I'm looking like needing to drive to work as against use a tube.
Chances are that it'll mean a good deal of sitting around in stationary traffic, implying that the right solution is a luxo barge (mileage won't be massive) with air-con, super comfy seats etc.
The problem is that this would be our second car, and I can't help but consider this as a potential opportunity to add in something interesting. Before you ask, a bike is unfortunately out of the question, and that's despite having a full license.
So, given say £5k max, any thoughts on something fun? By fun, doesn't need to be fast, just bring a grin to your face. Initial kind of requirements are rwd only, fairly light, front engined. Up for consideration so far are 200SX, MX5 turbo, and some Westfield style replicas (our next door neighbour has a rather nice looking Tiger 6 that would be an interesting idea).
I did think about Vettes, and Porsches, but none of the sensible ones are close to the price bracket.
