Slightly Frustrating when you have to do this to a new case....

Well I got my Antec Sonata III case the other day. Was on this week only and was about what I was after in terms of price/performance/features/supposed quietness.
Well personally I think the case is a nice little case with some good ideas. Looks good. Good build quality and design. Cant really fault it apart from one little thing... the internal additional ("optional") case fan mount that sits right behind the hard disk drive rails, comes with useless sized and threaded holes for the majority of fans I have ever used. They are roughly the same thread/pitch and size hole as a normal motherboard fastening screw is, and there were no obvious screws one should use that came bundled with the case to use that were suitable for a fan.

I'm not sure if they did this intentionally so you only buy a special Antec only internal case fan solution or something. The majority of fans I use, have specific screws - you know the type I mean - with a thick thread and grip into fans nicely. After deciding that WAS in fact poor, I decided to uninstall everything and get the drill out. 5 minutes later I had drilled them all out a couple of mm, adn was able to get the proper screws through and attach a nice silent case fan there. Perfect... but shouldn't have to do that really.

Anyone else find this?

Ive noticed that on an antec midi tower case. The screw holes were roughly half a mm shy of being the perfect fit. So i got the step drills out. (Got to love aldi).
