Hi all

So, long story short we need an extractor hood installed in our kitchen, cheap but usable.

The issue were having is the space above our cupboards, it's something 90-95cm, not the standard 100cm that most extractor fan funnels are.

I've read you can get rectangle/slimline funnels but I'm having issues finding some, can anyone help?

Also, the hope lot needs to be able to do 30litres a seconds worth, apparently.

It's "flat channel ducting" you're looking for I think.

A search for "flat channel" on Screwfix, Toolstation and B&Q websites brings up plenty of options.

Aye I think I've found some stuff.

Will the hood matter at all? Or will most fit fit the standard 100mm tube? As I probably need to use the round tubing, then convert to the flat stuff at the top

Get yourself down to screwfix. Make sure to ask to see the pieces you are buying so that they fit together. Hood should go in to a circle to rectangle converter for the ducting and then the rectangular ducting should take you to the wall nicely. You might want to consider converting back to circular ducting for going through the wall, it’s easier to cut a round hole then a rectangular one :)
