First off, I need to use iTunes as I want to download their free podcasts.

iTunes comes with a lot of crap with it and I was wondering if anyone knows what I can definitely remove and still have iTunes working funny. I do not own, nor use an iPod.

Is your PC really that poor that you need to worry about it?

Honestly, I've no idea where this hatred towards iTunes comes from but unless you have a legitimate reason to need your PC to run absolutely and completely free of anything remotely unrequired, just leave it alone.

After some playing (for anyone that is intersted), you need:

iTunes
Quicktime (or Quicktime Alternative)
Apple Application Support

You extract the main installer you download from the apple website and you will see the installer for those applications.

Check to see if you have the Bonjour service running as well - you don't need that either, and since it's sat there listening to the network it's best disabled.
