Slipped in the snow and broke my PSP power switch.

Ideally I would like to fix it but I cannot remove the tiny Philips screws. They seem extremely tightly fitted. Anyone else replaced a power switch on the PSP. Failing that, can anyone recommend someone who does.

Thanks

What has broken?

Is it the mechanism? Has the actual switch split?

More detail (or even pictures) will get a more detailed answer :).

The case and external switch plastic all look fine and intact but the switch just slides up and down with no friction like it's no connected to anything.

It'll be an internal problem then, I have a similar situation on my Wifi switch as it's constantly on draining power, You can get replacement faceplates which is the only known solution I know of or you may have to replace the entire shell depending on what model it is.

Size 0 phillips head screwdriver

There might be that blue screw lock stuff on the screws. Leave it in a warm room for a bit. They do unscrew, just use the right driver.

Opened the case and the nipple on the switch is missing. The actual switch still works but jarraing open the case and using tweezers to start is what you might call.. not ideal ;-)

Ordered replacement one - Will take a few days to come.

Thanks
