Hi All

I have just ran a sfc /scannow in CMD and I have corrupt system files. I am assuming that the PC can't get the files from my original Windows 7 DVD because I now have SP1 on the PC.

So, to get my corrupt files repaired, do I need to produce a slipstream disc of Windows 7 (including SP1)?

If I do, what is the best way to do it (freeware, manually)?

Best in hope

Just download a disc with SP1 already in it.

Google.. windows 7 digital river links.

Get the right version, (ie, Home, Pro or Ultimate)

I now have a W7 SP1 DVD to use if I need to.

But I must have misread the data log that CMD churned out after doing a scannow because I'm still getting errors.

It looked like it was the explorer.exe and shell32.dll but obviously it must be something else.

I'll keep trying. The PC seems to be working fine whatever is wrong...

Thanks again.
