Slooow performance - network.

My Asus P5W -DH Deluxe and my laptop seem not to like each other. I am trying to set up a network on the Asus using my Netgear DG834G with a Lan cable into the back of one of the Asus Marvel Yukon 88E8053 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet Controller's. It has 2 of these and an onboard wireless, wich I have uninstalled and disabled.

This is what it tells me when I run the Network setup wizard on the Asus P5w dh...

And the connection on my laptops wireless card is only 11mbs, instead of 54mbs? whats going on? :confused:

I also have 2 1394 net Adapters what are these? both say connected at 400mbps and my Gigabit says connected at 100mbps.

The 1394 adapters will be ports for firewire, which can be used for networking, ignore them.

Well the card in the laptop might only be a 11mb adapter, although it's worth seeing if the router's set to 11b, rather than G. The pc will only runn at 100mb, as that's the max speed of the switch in the router.

No the card in the laptop is 54g Belkin.

Connection speed is only 1.0mbps at the mo. I think the wireless card on the Motherboard must be somehow iterfearing with the laptops card.
