slope angle of roads (help please)

quick question, does anyone know what kind of slope angle (measured in degrees) are typically used for major roads (like motorways). obviously they would ideally be as flat as possible but this isnt always gonna happen due to varying topography and budgets. must be some limit so that HGVs etc are able to make steady progress?

anyone any experience from construction/planning?

contact highway maintenance their number is bound to be in the book. i'm sure they will be able to give you some facts and figures.
 
The camber of a road is very dependent on the sorrounding, for example a housing estate will generally have its highest point in the middle of the road with two degrees camber to let water run off, Motorays have camber so they have ever so slightly banked corners. I dont think there is a specific answer to this question though.
 
dont know the exact camber but there is one, if roads were flat you would need a boat on the motorway when it rains ,water has to run off somehow.
