Got my second wf 780 in today, swapped it into the primary slot on the mobo as its the faster card. Upon starting the system up, it hangs on the asus logo screen for a long time before getting to the windows logo screen. Where it also sat for ages. Hard reset and eventually got into windows. Ive ran sli in this board before but never experienced this. Spec in sig and cards are.

Gigabyte wf gtx 780 rev2, (new card)
Gigabyte wf gtx 780 rev1, (my original)
Corsair HX 850W PSU
Cpu at stock, ram at 1333mhz
Win7 hp 64

Just a quick blast on bf4 mate so far. Temps are very good at 63/53 despite being two non ref cards with a single slot gap between them. New card is in the top slot, it boosts to 1124mhz core vs 1097mhz on my original rev1. Clocking wise, the new rev2 is capable of 1200mhz core, +500 mem. My original will do +100 core/+300 mem (1189/3305). Power draw in bf4 was at 615w when i checked, this is including monitor too.

I should be. Had to work late last week, (that helped pay for the second card). Both bought on members market. First one for £290.00 (after selling my 670's for £280.00). £255.00 for the second one. Both still under loads of warranty. Not too bad an outlay. Though now i think ill go for a better psu as this corsair is ancient, that and a new higher res monitor.

Very nice mate.

Always liked the cooler used on them, owned both 460 and 670 wf cards in sli. Good case airflow is essential with them though due to them dumping hot air into the case.

Been debating to do the same before 780's run out or wait for something new as i'm not really playing anything demanding atm, Glad to hear you found it worthwhile :)

Nice one Rob :)
Cheers mate, it was only a matter of time. Had to be a wf though as anything else would have looked weird. Pretty pleased with temps too considering its still quite warm.

Will indeed depend on the games you play and your resolution. I'm mainly on the bf series at the moment. At 1920x1200 one card was grand, but I want to upgrade my monitor at some point.

Still at stock on this one, tbh it doesn't seem to hamper games. I'll get it clocked for benching though.
