Hey Guys

Last day or too my internet browsing has been very slow, its not my broadband though as on my laptop in same house/connection browsing is instant on XP/IE 6

On my main rig, Vista Ultimate x64 via Opera and IE 7 it takes ages to render, everything else on pc is fine, i still download at 800+ kb/sec so its def a software issue ive run virus scans and everything with no luck :/

any ideas?

As an example, these forums too literally 1 sec on laptop and about 10-15 secs to fully load on opera on main machine

Try pinging some sites through command line on both PC and laptop.

Start > run > cmd:

ping www.bbc.co.uk

ping www.yahoo.com

Compare the results. If the delays are the same you're looking at a local issue with the browser itself, if there is a big difference, looks like the connection for the PC is tripping up somewhere.

ping news.bbc.co.uk

Laptop = 11ms
PC = 9ms

(Averages)

Hmm
