Slow download speeds on O2

Since I joined O2 20mb bbroadband last wednesday, I'm getting speeds slower than when I had my 16mb Sky Max Broadband!

On my newsgroups on Sky BB, I was getting typically download speeds of 1600 KB/s but since I joined O2 broadband I'm getting speeds of anything from 500 KB/s to a maximum of 1100 KB/s

Anyone have any ideas why? I really am stuck.

According to my O2 router these are my upload and download speeds...

Bandwidth (Up/Down) [kbps/kbps]: 1,412 / 17,810

These are my router stats...

Be/O2 are short on network capacity in some areas. If it's that you're seeing, you should see it improve at off peak times.

It's something you'll probably have to wait on O2 fixing, though it shouldn't be long away.

Not really on topic but looking at your router output your SNR margins are quite tight, you could probably get those loostened up a bit with a decent router. This isn't going to solve your problem it's just a tweak
