Slow Folder Creation

My computer is really fast. i4700s, 16gig of ram. Fine in every respect, except when I create a new folder in windows! Why is this? It hangs for a second or so everytime!

Do you have a SSD or a Mechanical HDD? I would say that folder creation is more disk-related. Run a health check on your hard drive.
