slow framerate on cod4

i have a 8800gt overclocked, core2duo 2.66ghz, 24" widescreen monitor, vista 32-bit and im running at 1920x1200. why is my cod4 framerate slow? i could lower the settings to lower than the default, but i want to run it with high graphics, i thought my specs were good enough. why am i getting slowdown?

Becuase you are running it at 1920x1200.

I get 70-90 Fps everything maxed out on Q6600 @ 3ghz and 8800GT stock 1440x900 Vista64

I would imagine you are getting 40-50?
