Slow graphics on Ubuntu

Hi,

I installed ubuntu 9.04 on my laptop. I've previously installed 8.10 on my laptop and have had the ability to use all desktop effects. With 9.04 I can't.

Anybody have any suggestions to fix this? I can't believe the graphics card support would have decreased with a new version. My laptop is a lenovo n100. I've checked restricted drivers and am not using any. he graphics adapter is an Intel 945GM.

Upgraded to Karmic in which sorted this problem.

Good to hear karmic sorted it out. I beleive a lot of intel
integrated graphics chips were blacklisted in 9.04 due to stability issues.

I've got a dell mx1330 and have been without compiz for a few months now since 9.04 and I miss it!
