Hey guys, we have recently started using smart cards in our system.

We logon to remote servers via RDP (Version 6).

When smart cards are not enabled it takes about 15-20secs to get logged in to your desktop.
When smart cards are enabled it takes 60-90secs to get logged in.

Is this just down to the authentication required for smart cards and to be expected or might there be a problem..... I am going to start getting user complaints when the smart card policy is enforced (Currently testing at moment so can just press escape and logon as normal).

Windows 2003 R2 setup, clients using XP (RDP version6).
