Slow Net - March 16th - 11ish onwards

Heh, there's a lot of people getting upset there, even some talk of "I'll get my mac code and leave" (paraphrased):D

I've noticed a lot of packet loss and wandering pings to overseas game servers. I don't think there's any in the UK for me to use as a comparison, but in a similar vein OcUK forums work pretty well while numerous foreign sites won't even load.

can you be more specific. Is it to do with main cables going overseas or a specific problem due to network infrastructure like server trouble. Similar things happen when part of the backbone cable across the sea is cut. its normally rerouted across other cable but the extra traffic causes latency
nothing to worry about.
 
Well that incident report posted above said it was fixed the next morning. It was mainly just for people if they found their usual service to be disrupted that evening.
