My internet speed is as it should be, the full 2 meg, whoich usually gives around 250ish kb/s, however i'm transfering some files across the network and it is only giving me about 30 kb/s. Last night i was getting 2meg/sec. I should mention this is a laptop connected via wifi. Why is the transfering so slowly?

So you have a machine connected to the network with wireless and it gets ~2Mbps from the internet, but ~0.25Mbps within the network? Sure it isn't whatever you were transferring to within the network?

I'm not sure what you meant so I'll just re-iterate my 'problem'.

On the internet i get the full 2megabyte internet, giving about 256Kb/s download speed.

2 days ago i was transferring some files across the network at about 2Meg a second, however yesterday i only received 100kb/s a mere 5% of what i was getting 2 days ago.

2MB/s doesn't translate into 256kB/s. 2Mbits/s does. Within the network you get 100kbits/s?

I'm assuming you weren't just transferring them to 127.0.0.1 here.
Where are you getting the 2Mbps figure from?
