I share my internet connection between two pc's , both running win XP pro , the connection goes to a router upstairs whichs feeds the upstairs PC its internet via USB , ive got a ethernet cable comming from the router downstairs to my p.c via a NIC
Ive set up a network place on the machines so i can access ONE folder on the upstairs machine so i can send files to that folder from my p.c
The thing is its very slow , i sent two films upstairs last night from my machine and it took 48 minutes , my rainmeter app reported the network traffic at 16kbps
This is a hell of a lot slower than it used to be when i used a DSL modem in my machine and used ICS via a NIC on each machine , then two films would take about 4 minutes
any idea why its so slow now ?
The router is a voyager 220v and ive been on adslmax for about 5 weeks
