Slow Newsgroup

Hi guys,

I have an account with easynews and I use Flashget as my download manager. A few months ago, I never had any problems maxing out my connection - but recently, I can never go higher than 100KBps, despite the fact I can download from a server at full speeds. Any ideas? Maybe its a download manager software problem? If so, do you recommend any alternatives that do the trick?

I use grabit, not used any others but program is real easy to use

$19.99 a year gets you newsleecher and full updates money well spent i think. I've never had a problem with it myself

I experienced the same problem with flashget. I assume it's related to flashget as I have no probs with reget/easynews.

Whats your ISP..?
Could they be traffic shaping?
