Slow ntl in Scunthorpe since a week or so.

Anyone else on ntl been having slow download speeds of late? Web page graphics taking ages to appear its like being on 56K again. Been using that Dan Elwell's broadband speed tester, getting very variable download results and some packet loss to various servers. Supposedly its supposed to be a 2meg connection.

Its been a little slow for me too <Lincoln> it seems to be either NTLs proxies or the DNS servers taking a while to resolve, im gonna try some alternate DNS tommorow, see if that fixes it.

Let us know how it goes mate. Is there a list anywhere of the various DNS servers to try? Do you just choose the next nearest one to you or something?

I'm always using different proxy servers with NTL as my local proxy (Luton) never works and the other slow down all the time.
