Hey guys,

As my topic title says, for some reason, my PC has started to kind of "stall" whilst opening IE7 windows, i double click internet explorer, the interface comes up, the buttons etc and nothing loads or shows progress for about 5 seconds or so and then everything is as it should be...

It's a small niggle, but its so annoying, especially when opening links etc.

Im used to it being instant, 5 seconds is a long time!

Thanks for any help :)

Edit. I've tried re-installing, but to no avail. It still does it. Although IE6 doesnt.

Same prob myself, firefox&ie6 are fast while ie7 occasionally (not always) freezes for 5 secs as described by the OP when launching it...

Exact same problem. I reverted back to Opera, it's beautiful :D

I think it's because i've upgraded my Webroot Spysweeper software up to include anti-virus, because when i uninstalled it, it works fine... hmmm gonna have to nag Webroot about it!! :)

Ah figured it out now.

If any of you are experiencing the problems i did.

The solution is to: Go to Spy Sweeper shield settings, choose internet browser tab then "edit BHO's", un-tick the Java one.

That's worked for me. But it's only for people who are using Spysweeper software like me.

Hope that may help. :)
