Slow speed with Wireless Homeplug

Just got a TP Link 300Mbps AV200 Wireless powerline adapter to replace my old wired one.

The speed between my laptop and the homeplug using wireless is terrible. Only getting 2Mb on speed tests, when I should be getting about 10Mb.
Yet it works fine on my mobile phone and desktop pc. Laptop can connect directly to the router at full speed.

Anyone got any ideas whats causing the problem?

Got it fixed in the end and it is now running at full speed.

If anyone was wondering, I had to set it up using WPS with the WPS code on the back of the homeplug.
Not sure why this made a difference over connecting the normal way.
