Slow speeds transferring from PC to Synology

Hi,

I have a new Synology DS216+
I'm transferring 2.56 TB of movies from my pc to the Synology.
On there website it states it should be 1000 Mbps, but mine says 100 Mbps,
so it's downloading at 11.3 MB/s so time left is 2 days 5 hours lol.
Surely there is a faster way?
I have a Killer E2200 Gigabyte Ethernet on my Motherboard.
Is there a way to make it faster?

A little bit noddy but what cable are you using? Cat 5e or higher?

Yes Mate.

In the Synology, have you checked to make sure it's running at 1000Mbps, Full Duplex?

2.56TB, That's a large about of caching going on there! :-/

Was running at 100Mbs

If it's running at 100Mbps then there must be some device between the PC and NAS that is running at this speed. Is it connected through a switch or router? What's it's specs?

Just clicked in my head when you said switch. i'm using a TP-LINK TL-SF1005D 5-Port 10/100 Mbps Unmanaged Desktop Switch, this was the problem.
Is there a switch i could buy that would work. ?

Any Gigabit Switch will do the job mate.
