slow usb transfer rate

some reason ever since going to win7 my pc has really slow transfer rates, just 47.7 kb/second and often as low as 12 kb/second.

anyone able to help me find out why and fix this problem? to ove 750b of files is going to take me 2.5 hours!

Transfer rates via USB in Vista can be a hit or a miss. Is it the same with W7?. I had rather hoped not.

My main Vista running desktop has absolutely awful USB transfer rate speeds but my Vista XPS M1530 laptop transfers the same data to the same USB sticks a million times faster for some reason.

sounds like you need your latest motherboard drivers!

I have been running Win7 for the last Year with no problems what so ever!
