Slow Vista Browser

I’ve recently purchased quite a decent spec Laptop with Vista on it.

Vista itself seems to run fairly quickly and so far it’s not fell over once, but browsing the internet seems to be diabolically slow compared to my old XP machine.

I've been considering putting Vista on my new games machine, but it makes me wonder if playing games over the net could also be effected.

Has anybody experienced similar problems or know of a fix? :confused:

This is probably not much of a help, but no I don't have this problem on my Vista laptop nor my normal pc. Check laptop specs in my sig. This should be the same for gaming as under XP.

Dell?

If so, uninstall Vista and reinstall from CD without other crap that's put on it out of the box. Covered in Vostro thread in laptop forum.

Nope it's a Compaq....

Not much on it in the line of crap :eek:

Try using Opera, if thats slow you know its a networking problem, if its speedy (as opera usually is) then you know its an issue with your IE on vista.
