Im on virgin media with the 30mb service and my laptop is wired to the router but sometimes i use it wireless also.

Anyway last week or so web browsing can be really slow like even loading something like pistonheads classifieds page can take 30 secs or so.

Spoke to VM and did some tests and its not my router or connection im getting nearly 32mb dl and 3mb upload speeds,

He thought it could be a browser issues.

However..........

I use firefox and the problem is the same on internet explorer. Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling firefox and its the same.

Ive ran spybot search & destroy/adaware and avg antivirus and all come back clean.

Any suggestions please :(

P.S Im running a Dell XPX laptop with i7 and 4gb ram on windows 7

Could you have a virus or some kind of malware? That can cause this sort of thing. Do you have anti-virus\malware software running?

EDIT - Ignore me you've already tried that

you say you are on a 30MB service but thats not how much you will be getting.

go to www.speedtest.net and run a test then post results here please

Sorry to ask the obvious, but have you turned it off for 20 secs and then rebooted?

Had the same issue with my Virginmedia superhub a couple of weeks ago when it suddenly decided to go slow. The reboot fixed it.
