Hi,

Loaded this update at some point this week. I am certain pages are loading slower now. Specifically for quite a few pages, I click the bookmark, no response for a few secs, so I click again and it loads instantly.

I want to rule out whether this is a Safari problem or an ISP issue. My ISP has had some DNS issues last 2 weeks, but swapping DNS servers still produces some of the problems so am not sure if that is the cause.

(Also pages with plugins are showing the spinning "busy" icon much more frequently than before the update, obviously this cannot be due to my ISP :) )

Using Leopard with every single auto update loaded (recent ones I recall are Safari 3.2 and I think some sort of wifi update, both in last 7 days or so)

Edit: I am seeing a lot more "contacting: forums.overclockers.co.uk" etc in the status bar as well. Before the message was there so briefly you never noticed.

Tried another browser?

Updated my Safari today, seems to be working normally.

Tried firefox and it is hard to say as I have not used it regularly for so long and it is slower than Safari anyway.

The only thing that really sticks out to me is that some pages start to load, slowly, soon as I hit the Enter button or press the bookmark a 2nd time it instantly loads.

In the past my homepage (http://www.google.co.uk/ig) with just the gmail addin loaded as soon as I open Safari (barely time to see the blank screen). Now I find myself looking at a blank screen for a few seconds unless I reload, and am painfully aware of the "contacting google.co.uk" message in the status bar :( etc.

Edit: I did not get to load this page where I posted the reply properly. After the text box it sat on contacting overclockers.co.uk After a minute I reloaded the page manually and my post has actually appeared.
