Slow wifi access on iphone 15

I seem to have this issue connecting to public wifis with login portals.
Once it connects it will literally take 3-4 minutes to bring up the login page and it's a real pain. Connecting to normal wifi is no problem though, has anyone experienced this issue before?

Check to see if private relay is on. That cuts about 90% of my internet speed.

It's off, its not the internet speed its the speed to connect to a public wifi and bring up the login page.
