I have a Cisco 857w router and two wireless client. The wireless network is not encrypted and is set to infrastructure mode. The wireless speed is set to speed basic 11 up to speed basic 54 inclusive.
Two two clients are in the same room and although the router is no more than 3 metres away but separated by a stud partition wall.
Each client is set to operate in 802.1b/g mode.
I am transferring a 3 gig file from each client and so far the transfer rate hasn't peaked above 1MB/sec.
What speeds should I be looking at getting or is this about right?
