Slower Startup

unfortualy bud its the sound card drivers that increase's the boot time
their is no fix as the latest drivers cant record using stereomix
but it give's you the dts drivers

if you want a fast motherboard avoid asus altogether
as they use the soundmax onboard audio on 99% of their motherboards

i have a p5w64 ws motherboard, and it has all the same problems as you,
very slow in booting up, it's slower than my micro atx nvidia4 board
i will replacing with an intel motherboard wich uses sigmatel audio

yes but even with the sound turned off in the bios it is still slow

you have to remove all drivers or problay format
i had to format to make it boot up a tad quicker.

i made a backup image using acronis true image before i installed
any drivers or programs.

Hi stopsign104,

you could try posting on the Asus forums website on the P5B-E section of the forum. There may be someone else who has the same issue as you, also there may be a beta sound driver floating around for the P5B-E or one that resolves the slow boot issue.
