I bought an Ipower 8630 from PC World two years ago and would like to start changing it as I get the money to do so. I'd like to buy a new case as well as a new PSU (mine broke). Bearing in mind that I'd like to have a case big enough to fit what I currently have and what else I'd like to buy in the future can you give me your recommendations?

I've got 2 Ati 5770's lying about that I'd like to make use of someday soon, and I'd like to get a new processor too. What processor (and motherboard) would you recommend for gaming? I play a few FPS' as well as multibox WoW (2 accounts when raiding, 4 when not). I've been told to buy an i7 920 with a Corsair H50 and to overclock.

For now I can only afford a new case/PSU, but I'd like to have them suitable for both of my ati 5770's, an i7 920 (or whatever processor you recommend), a Corsair H50, a suitable motherboard & memory. For them 6 things I'd like to keep my budget under £700, or less if it's possible, thnx in advance !

Ok just dump the Ipower. Start from scratch. You already have it almost figured out by the looks, so just get a shopping card list up here. For the PSU get a Corsair HX 650 or TX 650 or a Seasonic X 650. For the CPU get an i5 750 because the i7 920 does not justify its cost for games.

Yes that's fine, but it is OEM which means it does not include a CPU cooler or thermal paste, so you'll have to buy those separately.

It may also have a shorter warranty than the retail box version, I'm not certain. Call Overclockers and ask them if you want to know.

Try this

The mobo supports xfire, not sure if it's 8x/8x or anything tough, so if someone could check that for me it would be great as i'm off to bed, don't have time. :D

How about this one? http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CP-301-IN

Btw why do people recommend PSU's from different companies? I thought they were all the same :L

They are most definitely not all the same. For a high end rig like this you need to supply stable, reliable power in a quantity that is adequate for your components, or else risk:

Bad 3D performance
Crashing games
Spontaneous PC restarts
Freezing during gameplay
Over loading and killing the PSU

And a really bad power supply even has the potential to take any number of other components with it when it dies, in this case meaning multiple £100s worth of damage.

I personally would get a better PSU than the ModXstream, particularly if I were running a crossfire set up. I recommend the Seasonic X 650 or Corsair TX / HX 650.
