sluggish when leaving games

evnin all

my specs are

i5 2500k at 4ghz
msi z68a-g43
msi 6850
500gb hitachi deskstar 7200rpm sata 2
corsair xms 4gb ram
windows 7 64 bit

when leaving games back to desktop the computer is sluggish for a couple of seconds which is fine, but when leaving bf3 itrs a good 5 or 6 seconds before
windows is smooth enough to use.

the settings on bf3 are low to medium if that makes a difference.

i have been thinking of putting another stick of the same ram bringing it up to 8 gig. would this make a difference?

Isnt Battlefield 3 a 32 bit game? In which case you won't see any performance gain from doubling your RAM to 8GB.

wouldnt make any difference ingame, but its exiting the game that is the problem, windows is slow to repsond, so the extra ram might give windows a more snappy return.
