Slumming it in Alexandria - Chapter 2

For those of you who missed chapter 1; Here is a link.

Last trip turned out to be a bit of a no show as the rig had problems so we ended up spending 2 1/2 weeks on the rig doing nothing before flying home.

I am now back out here with another partner in crime. We flew out on Sunday/Monday due to go off to the rig on Tuesday but due to further delays this has slipped back several times and we are now looking at next Wednesday (possibly).

We got fed up sitting around the hovel so we decided to coerce one of our local operatives to take us through to Cairo to see the Pyramids and Sphinx (we would have liked to have gone to museums etc. as well but it is a long drive from Alex to Cairo.

I thought I'd share some pics with you, if that's ok?

Weather is too damn hot for my liking (thanfully I'll be on nights when (if) we finally get to the rig).

Before anyone else says it, I felt sorry for the poor horse too - it was a bit scrawny and probably didn't weigh much more than me.

Try not to miss me too much.
