Small amount of Mayo in the PAS res

There was a leak in the resoviour which my dad fixed (the tube going to it was loose). I was having a look under the bonet just recently and I noticed that there was a mayo substance under the cap. Is that a sign of something bad? Does the steering rack need replacing?

in the power steering res? wierd, id drain the system and refill, get a haynes manual if your unsure.
