Looking to get a 2nd pc. More of a smaller build. Looking at the bitfenix prodigy case.

I'd like to get a sandy bridge since I don't see much performance difference between over clocked sandy compared to Haswell. (correct me if I'm wrong)

I don't have a clue what mobo to get. Would like to overclock. Just what's a decent mobo for sandy bridge that would fit in the case above?

It seems to point in favour of Haswell..

But anyway, if going Sandy, or Ivy for that matter these are the boards to look at:

YOUR BASKET
1 x EVGA Z77 Stinger Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 ITX Motherboard £149.99
1 x Gigabyte Z77N-WIFI Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Mini ITX Motherboard £103.99
Total : £264.78 (includes shipping : £9.00).

The EVGA board can take bigger air coolers due to its Socket position

The gigabyte can only take really small air cooler and CLC water coolers.

Haswell has become a better option due to Non-Z OC back door meaning overclocking (through the multiplier) can be done on B85 and H87 motherboards. Meaning you can buy a cheaper motherboard and still overclock. Win Win. :)

YOUR BASKET
1 x ASRock H87M-ITX Intel H87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ITX Motherboard £89.99
1 x ASRock B85M-ITX Intel B85 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ITX Motherboard £71.99
Total : £172.78 (includes shipping : £9.00).

Though the RAM speed is fairly limited on that chipset..

but on the major upside they accept big air coolers.. :)

TL: DR. Get a Haswell chip (k version) and a B85 ITX motherboard. :)
