I'm after one for my lab which will be printing invoices and delivery notes, along with some low volume graphics for advertising. It has to have a fax as well. As long as it isn't stupidly heavy on ink, I don't really mind what I get brand wise.

HP seem to have a reputation for poor reliability so I'm a little unsure about them.
The Brother MFC-845CW seems pretty good, but I have no experience with them. Wifi is nice to have, but networking is a must. Budget is £300 or less ex VAT.

Does anybody have something that they reccomend. TBH as long as text is crisp and colour prints are ok, I'll be happy. And operates as a stand alone fax machine. And won't fall apart lol.

are canons going to be completely reliable, I have read a few bad things about them. The printer has to be 100% dependable as I will be using it for billing on a daily basis.

how about this: Lexmark X 9350 any takers?

Ok, now I have a dilema. I have just come across the HP Photosmart C7180.
It seems to be almost the same as the HP Officejet Pro L7680, however a little less economical, and is a bit smaller.

Any more opinions or experience with these devices?

Auto sheetfeeder is very useful for faxes.

Officejet should be cheaper to run.
From HP's own website, comparing black cartridges
Officejet - £22/2580 pages
Photosmart £21/1120 pages

that is a good point, but then does the intergrated wifi make up for this. I guess I could always buy a bridge for the officejet. The thing is, the OJ Pro 7760 is almost perfect, but it is stupidly big for my lab.

I have the c7180 and it prints ridiculously fast. Faster than any laser I've seen anyway. The paper literally flies out of the printer, even with the tray extended. :p

how is the text in appearance, and is it ver heavy on ink?
