Hello all,

After having a quick read of some of the current threads based around case suggestions (http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18397040 especially) I decided I needed to ask the question myself.

I have an ATX board with a phenom aftermarket cooler not much bigger than the stock, 2 HDD's and a small (from what I can see 2/3 of normal) PSU.

I have this hardware to replace an old shuttle which I was using as a server and going from shuttle size up to midi-tower size is encroaching on my limited amounts of space! Essentially I would like an HTPC/small desktop size/shape case which will be able to fit those components in. I'm not looking to add anything at any point so expansion isn't a concern.

Cases like http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-134-SV would be nice but obviously that's not full ATX sized so any suggestions you kind folks can make would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

As I said in the other post, the big issue with this kind of request is that ATX cases have to be a certain size, because an ATX motherboard is a certain size.

Something like this:

Is just a desktop case designed to look good when on it's side...

Perhaps one of the greatest ever cases for squeezing an ATX board into a smaller case is the Lian Li PC-A05FNB.
It maintains the traditional 'tower' look, but due to the PSU placement, it fits a standard ATX motherboard whilst managing to be smaller than other cases.

Yeah, I realise that ATX is the biggest restriction in the case size I can go for but the hardware was free and I was desperately hoping someone out there might have some amazing magical tardis-like case up their sleeve :p.

The lian-li looks like a really good option for what I need so thanks for the suggestion, I just need to start saving the pennies now!
