small case but not to small?

hi, i'm looking for a new case
it needs to be small enough to fit in my TV stand but not so small that i have to make compromises on cooling or hardware like long graphics cards for example

so far i was planning on getting a define C and simply flipping it on it's side and i'm also looking into the thermaltake core G3
any other suggestions would be highly appreciated

What kind of height and width do you have to play with in this tv stand?

well my current TV stand is useless, it's made of glass and a total bugger to keep clean it weighs 10 million KG and the shelves aren't big enough to take much more than an xbox

i have looked around online and can't really find anything i like so i'm planning on building my own so heigh, width and depth are flexible but i want it to be as small and compact as possible
