We are having our Bathroom and kitchen re-done and as part of the process we are looking to re-locate our boiler from the kitchen to the bathroom. We are looking to put in in a corner and box it in and the smaller it is the better as it will mean more flexibility for the rest of the bathroom.

Currently looking at the Bosch Greenstar CDi Compact which seems about the smallest on the market, anyone got any comments on these boiler or recommendations for other small boilers?

I don't have any particular comments on the Worcester Bosch Greenstar Cdi Compact, but I do have a 38CDi classic and it hasn't put a foot wrong since I had it installed.

I would recommend a Worcester boiler to anyone.

The general recommendations most people give on here are Worcester Bosch and Vaillant, however in your case I don't know how compact Valiant boilers are for your requirements.

The other advice I'd give you is if you decide to go with Worcester Bosch, look for an Accredited Installer as they can generally give you an enhanced warranty simply by having things like a system filter/smart thermostat (Worcester Wave) installed.
When I had my work done I got an extra year warranty by having the Worcester system filter fitted, taking the warranty from 7 to 8 years.

In a nutshell, if you can avoid compact boilers then do so.
They are not as reliable as a full size boiler, as obviously you have smaller components (normally moulded from plastic) trying to do the same job. Although WB are a strong brand we've had to call them out under warranty for a few of the compacts we've fitted.

I thought that would probably be the case but with the location we want to use it really is a compact or a rethink which I don't fancy!

Cupboard ?

Will be in a cupboard in the bathroom but it will be behind the door so the smaller the better!

Our loft space is converted to rooms so not an option and our new kitchen design would mean if it was on an outside wall it would just be on it's own in the middle of a room! Even thought about the cellar but there is no way to flue it!
