Small Crackles

Hey all,

Recently I have noticed small crackles when using my headphones on my computer. If for example, im on the desktop you can hear a low groaning crackle or even when im in a game.

Wierdest thing is when I open up a window on the desktop the sound changes to a higher crackling noise =\

Any idea how to get rid of the crackles - now that I have noticed it, I know it will get on my nerves

Do you mean on my soundcard? (Im just using the one that came with my Maximus board - nothing fancy)

Some years ago I had an Asus mainboard with a very similar problem and solved it by putting in a soundcard. The internals of a computer produce a lot of electronic noise. I'd suggest trying a cheap soundcard.
