I'm looking for something that stands on the floor, has enough surface for a large keyboard and mouse, and height adjustable so it can be slid underneath a desk.
Before you say 'just get a good desk', let me explain why I need this. In my room at home I've got a nice deep ikea galant desk which I have at a comfortable height. However in other rooms the desk/chair ergonomics can be a bit lacking, especially with the desk being too high/shallow and the chair being too low, so I'm reaching upward to the desk (and yes I do things like putting pillows on the chair). The shallowness is more of a problem => sitting ~40cm away from a 22" monitor is not comfortable for me.
I've looked at some laptop floor stands, but I've yet to come across one that is wide enough/sturdy enough for a wide keyboard and enough space for a mouse.
I don't need anything fancy, like a transformer posing as a desk, but height adjustability would be useful.
Something like this ikea table top, but half the depth and about 10cm off the width is a good surface.
