Small dusty problem...

I have a NZXT Phantom 410 case, which is great. However, there is one problem that bugs me...

The case is too long for my desk (and foolishly I did not measure before I got it) and the bottom end hangs off the desk. As a result of this the PSU, which is bottom mounted with the fan facing down, is facing the carpet and is rather close to it.

After a few weeks of use I went to see how the situation was down there and it was pretty bad. The dust filter was clogged up with dust and upon removing that I could see large amounts of dust around the PSU fan and a little in the PSU.

My question is - would this make my PSU "blow up" any time soon? There is not much I can do about it sadly so I really hope not :( Would a quick wipe of the dust filter every week stop the PSU from coming upon harm?

Thanks in advance :)

I would turn it over however I have a sound card very close to the PSU so air would be a little starved:(

I think I will just have to constantly clean it :(
