Small Form Factor Graphics

Hi all,

I am in the need for a graphics card for a small form factor. Can I buy any card and convert it to fit in a SFF somehow (if so how) or do I need to buy one for a SFF?

I think most SFF cases will take most graphics cards. I know that my Silverstone Sugo will take anything including the longest cards like 8800 GTX/Ultra and 3870 X2s.

Depends on your case and if there's anything in the top of it.

Same one I have then, what are you thinking of upgrading to if there's a GTX in it?

I have a Shuttle SFF that my children use and I managed to get a 6800 card in there without too much effort ... only issue was card was a Leadtek where the plastic fan cover wrapped over top of card which needed a little pressure to squeeze under the case frame until the card was seated. Works fine with the standard 250W PSU + doesn't seem to be any major heat issues.

Would the mounting plate (the bit at the back where the female socket is) fit in a SFF?
