Hi Folks,

I'm looking to build a home media/gaming PC.

The case must be no more 30cm high x 30cm wide x 50cm deep.

Budget around a grand.

Would like Haswell chip and nVidia 7 series card.

I will need space to add 4 or 5 3.5" HDD's (I can live with just the 4).

Suggestions & advice welcome.

Thanks :D

The 250D isn't the case to go for.

The case you really need is the Fractal Node 304, OCUK don't stock this case due to issue they had with Fractal.

This case will take upto 6 x 3.5 drives..

The rest of you're rig will need to be something like this though.

YOUR BASKET
1 x MSI Geforce GTX 770 Gaming Edition 2048MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £269.99
1 x Intel Core i5-4670K 3.40GHz (Haswell) Socket LGA1150 Processor - Retail £173.99
1 x Gigabyte Z87N-WIFI Intel Z87 (Socket 1150) DDR3 Mini ITX Motherboard £119.99
1 x Samsung 120GB SSD 840 EVO SATA 6Gb/s Basic - (MZ-7TE120BW) £79.99
1 x BeQuiet Pure Power L8 530W '80 Plus Bronze' Modular Power Supply - With 120mm Silent Wing Fan Built in £65.99
1 x Seagate Barracuda 2TB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s 64MB Cache - OEM (ST2000DM001) HDD £59.99
1 x TeamGroup Vulcan ORANGE 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-19200C11 2400MHz Dual Channel Kit (TLAD38G2400HC11CDC01) £55.99
1 x Silverstone Argon SST-AR01 CPU Cooler - 120mm £28.99
Total : £868.42 (includes shipping : £11.25).

The problem with a Small gaming media build is pretty obvious, SPACE.

With this GPU, you'll be sacrificing 2 HDD spaces in the case.

The airflow will be good and noise will be minimal.
