With more and more compact cases becoming available I though it might be a good idea to have a thread with all compact GPU options for those that need the extra power for the occasional game. As the options aren't that many I didn't feel there was a need to have subgroups (ie half height+single slot). Will keep updating as new cards become available.

Half height
  1. MSI GTX 1050Ti 4GT 4096MB GDDR5
  2. MSI GTX 1050 2GT 2048MB GDDR5

Single slot
  1. Galax GTX 1070 8GB Katana

maybe add links to the manufacturer product pages rather than just a name/producer - e.g. MSI might have several models and only one suits your needs.

Are the compact versions of GPUs generally the same performance and reliability of the full sized GPUs? I am looking at the compact GTX 1060s as they are so much cheaper than regular. I'm guessing with the reduced cooling the won't OC as well as full sized cards, but I'm not too fussed about this (he says on OCUK!). Is lack of OC-ability the only drawback?
The 1060 doesn't need much cooling. I had a small evga superclocked version and it overclocked very well with cool temps.

I thought of that - is it allowed?

Yes, just not links to places which sell the cards in competition to OcUK - even if OcUK do not sell that model/manufacturers products - e.g links to Asus ok but not say the bay or ******.
