Hi

yes another 'which gaming keyboard to get'
i want a smaller keyboard, i currently have the Microsoft X4 sidewinder...
cracking keyboard but its too large and i dont really use the number pad on the side

so i want a smaller one, preferably suitable for FPS games

budget is £80 - would like it to be cheaper though if possible :D

Edit: purchased the Corsair K65

I recently purchased a corsair K65 keyboard is mechanical, good quality and frankly gorgeous/ It has standard key spacings but eliminates the numpad which saves a significant amount of space for (imo) a largely useless feature.

A measurement taken by myself tells us that this keyboard is only 355mm long which is short but not tiny.

Unfortunately the product seems to be on pre-order at the moment, probably due to being out of stock or possibly a revision by Corsair?

Would also like to add that after a quick google search on the X4, the Corsair is nearly 13cm shorter which gives you a lot more space to move your mouse frantically shooting enemies in fps titles.

I am using a Zalman ZM-K500. It's not bad, though the one I got from OcUK has a US layout. Didnt notice till I needed a £ and " lol. The Corsair Vengeance K65 looks decent.

Was looking at this on saturday and a cooler master storm one
But the k65 is on offer today only... Do i bite?
Am worried about corsair warranty though, the shipping to holland at huge expense is actually a huge worry

well it arrived today :)

opened the packaging and the box had a dent/slight smash on it :(

the initial look of it is good, but it doesnt sit straight/flush on desk... its slightly bent :(
not going well so far, but i put some pressure on it (i.e slight twist the other way and now its flush)

it works alright, about to test it on B4..
lets see what this baby can do

EDIT: Upon closer inspection it as a few scratches etc on it
and what looks like a tiny dent on the top by the caps lock light
if this wasn't sealed id swear it had been used

NOT HAPPY!

Very sorry to hear about this, I'd swear by the quality of mine but I'm only one person. If the product is damaged enough I'd contact OC about it and see what they can do from their end.

cant be bothered to go through the whole rigmarole of sending it back and waiting for them to inspect it, then wait to get a replacement..
should have guessed with all these refurb corsair keyboards on sale these days - which obviously means they have a quality issue.

it works, which is a blessing!
need to keep this thread as proof though, in case it develops a fault and they blame me for miss use

Well i have slept on it and decided i am not happy about this.. I know £60 probably aint a lot for a keyboard but it is to me and expect it to not only look but also look new

I have requested an RMA, just know waiting to see if they expect me to pay for shipping it back to them
